The ANSA MARMITTE CAT BACK style is my favorite ever, when I was tennager I saw many VW bugs with this kind of exhaust, when on my project list follow to replace the exhaust and I didn't find any for my X1/9 I thought on the VW quad tips exhaust, just to do a little changes.

But I needed to remove and pull back the original one for smog inspection, I didn't install catalyst converter on my first project, I leave this exhaust as is and I thought to upgrade for a better muffler, MAGNAFLOW were a good candidate, this time with catalyst converter.

Never in my life I use a weld machine before, I bought a small one and I weld all the parts as better as I can, till today all the pieces still on they're place.

I include pictures from my first exhaust (without catalist converter) made from VW empi exhaust and the second one I used a magnaflow one inlet 2.5 two outlet 2.25 diameter pipe for camaro system
a catalyst 2.5 diameter and a couple pacesetter resonator double tip ends.
